What is a Prediction Run? It is a great way to check your running pace without using any type of timing device. That is right, no race watch, GPS, or cell phone. Prior to the run you predict what your finishing time will be for the distace of the race. For example, you determine your pace/mile times the number of miles for your predicted finish time. At the end of the race, wth a finish line clock or timing results, you will see how close you are to your predicted finish time. The winner of the race is the runners closest to the "predicted" finish time, not the first person across the line. A fun way to run without the distraction of a watch.
The next CRRC 4 Mile Prediction Run will be on Saturday November 7, 2015. Please join us at 9:00 a.m. – check in your watches and GPS devices at the starting line. This will be an out and back course along the Olentangy River. No loops to get lost this year.
Prizes awarded to top five finishers!
The run will start and finish at Ted’s house, at 4237 Olentangy Blvd, Columbus.
There will be bagels, hot chocolate, coffee and other “replacement fluids” after the run. Hope to see you there!
